The basic idea behind my \u2018melting switzerland\u2019 project was to realise a ceramic where I didn't have to buy clays or glazes, but could find all the raw materials myself in nature. Now, more than twenty years later, the time has come: the first stoneware made exclusively from Swiss raw materials has been born!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a ceramic made from a \u2018wild\u2019 ferrous clay mixture, fired at 1280\u00b0C. Clays with such a high firing temperature are not available in Switzerland. The glazes consist of stone, sand, clay and usually ash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
