Welcome to my ceramic studio
The basic idea behind my ‘melting switzerland’ project was to realise a ceramic where I didn't have to buy clays or glazes, but could find all the raw materials myself in nature. Now, more than twenty years later, the time has come: the first stoneware made exclusively from Swiss raw materials has been born!
It is a ceramic made from a ‘wild’ ferrous clay mixture, fired at 1280°C. Clays with such a high firing temperature are not available in Switzerland. The glazes consist of stone, sand, clay and usually ash.

What particularly appeals to me is that I can shape the entire production process: Starting with the search for the raw materials, through their processing to the firing and the incredible moment when I hold such a bowl in my hands
It is condensed earth-time from my living space - melted Switzerland. I am delighted that my works are attracting international attention.
